The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has officially released its list of candidates for the 2027 National Assembly elections following the conclusion of its primaries across the state.
The announcement was made on Monday night in Osogbo by the Chairman of the APC Electoral Panel, Bayo Ayo, marking the final stage of the party’s selection process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
A major highlight of the list is the emergence of insurance expert and APC chieftain, Akin Ogunbiyi, who clinched the party’s ticket for the Osun West Senatorial District.
Ogunbiyi, who is also associated with Mutual Benefits Assurance Group, is expected to lead the party’s charge in what is projected to be a highly competitive senatorial race in Osun State.
His emergence has been described by political observers as a strategic move by the APC as it seeks to strengthen its influence in Osun West ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Other APC Senatorial Candidates are Osun East — Sen. Francis Fadahunsi and Osun Central — Barr. Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (SAN)
The party also released its list of House of Representatives candidates across federal constituencies in the state: Osogbo Federal Constituency — Ibrahim Taofik Kayode, Ayedaade Federal Constituency — Taiwo Oluga, Iwo Federal Constituency — Habeeb Adedamola, Ijesa South Federal Constituency — Sanya Omirin, Ede Federal Constituency — David Ayodele Asalu, Ila Federal Constituency — Simeon Adebisi Babawale, Ife Federal Constituency — Taofik Ajilesoro, Obokun Federal Constituency — Oluwole Oke and Boripe Federal Constituency — Eniafe Damilare
