MAY DAY 2026: GLO HAILS NIGERIAN WORKERS, COMMENDS RESILIENCE AMID CHALLENGES

Globacom has commended Nigerian workers for their resilience, dedication, and contributions to national development as the world marks the 2026 International Workers’ Day.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the digital solutions company described workers as the backbone of the nation’s economy, noting their critical role in driving growth across both the public and private sectors.

The company urged employees across industries to remain committed to their duties, stressing that sustained productivity and dedication are essential to Nigeria’s progress.

“We urge staff in both the public and private sectors not to relent in pushing for the development of the country through their work,” the statement read.

Globacom added that the collective efforts of Nigerian workers continue to serve as a strong foundation for economic advancement, despite prevailing challenges.

International Workers’ Day, also known as International Workers' Day, is celebrated annually on May 1 to recognise the contributions of workers and the labour movement globally.
