INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: RITE FOODS PROMOTES GENDER EQUITY, INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP

Rite Foods Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to women’s empowerment, equity, and inclusive growth as it joined the global community to commemorate the 2026 International Women's Day (IWD) themed “Give to Gain.”

The Nigerian food and beverage company said empowering women remains a key pillar of its corporate philosophy, noting that gender inclusion is not merely a corporate social responsibility initiative but a strategic driver of sustainable growth and national development.

At Rite Foods, women occupy key roles across the company’s manufacturing operations, corporate leadership, brand management, supply chain, marketing, and distribution network. The organisation says it operates a culture built on merit, equal opportunity, and professional advancement, ensuring that talent — regardless of gender — is nurtured, recognised and given room to thrive.

Speaking on the significance of the celebration, Managing Director of the company, Seleem Adegunwa, highlighted the importance of intentional inclusion within corporate institutions.

“At Rite Foods, we believe sustainable growth is built on inclusive opportunity. ‘Give to Gain’ reflects our conviction that when organisations invest deliberately in women through leadership pathways, mentorship and capacity development, they gain stronger performance and long-term resilience,” he said.

Also reinforcing the company’s position, Chief Finance Officer, Kudirat Balogun, said the organisation’s commitment to gender inclusion goes beyond symbolic celebrations.

“Our commitment goes beyond words. We are deliberate about strengthening gender-balanced leadership policies and creating platforms that enable women to grow, lead and influence decision-making. True empowerment requires sustained action, and we remain steadfast in driving measurable impact,” she said.

According to the company, the theme “Give to Gain” reflects the belief that organisations that create opportunities for women benefit from diverse perspectives, stronger innovation and improved operational performance.

As a key player in Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, Rite Foods has continued to earn recognition for its sustainability and innovation efforts. The company recently received the Outstanding FMCG Corporate Brand of the Year at the Edge Awards, alongside multiple honours at the Sustainability, Innovation and Social Impact Awards and the SERAS Awards.

The company said it will continue to champion inclusive leadership and gender equity as part of its broader commitment to building a stronger and more sustainable corporate ecosystem in Nigeria.
