MUTUAL BENEFITS ASSURANCE HOSTS SPIRIT-FILLED 2025 CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE IN LAGOS

It was a deeply spiritual and colourful evening on Thursday, December 18, 2025, as Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc hosted its 2025 Annual Christmas Carol Service at the beautiful KICC Prayer Dome, Ake, Mende, Maryland, Lagos.

The event brought together top executives, staff members and friends of the brand for a night of praise, worship and thanksgiving.

The service began with an opening prayer by Pastor Omitinde of CAC Victory Land Parish, Ikeja, after which the Mutual Benefits Choir took charge with powerful praise and worship, instantly lifting the atmosphere.

Welcoming guests, Managing Director, Mr. Olufemi Asenuga, spoke about the remarkable growth of the annual carol service, explaining how it has evolved over the years in line with the expansion of Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc. He also touched on industry developments and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to service excellence and innovation.

One of the major highlights of the evening was the Nine Lessons and Carols, with scriptures read from Isaiah, Matthew and Luke by Edwin Alohan, Oluremi Fadi, Kevwe Egbegebedia, Festus Enogieru, Olajumoke Akinnawo, Sheri Izegbuwa and Godwin Aduebe. Each reading was followed by soul-lifting carols rendered by the choir, including Mary Did You Know, Unto Us a Child Is Born and a vibrant Christmas medley.

The sermon was delivered by Rev. Pastor J.B. Minari, who preached on “The Gift of God.” He reminded the congregation of God’s immeasurable love, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the need to live in peace, unity and gratitude.

As the service drew to a close, the Group Chairman, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, took the stage to thank God for the company’s journey. He described Mutual Benefits Assurance as a company that has moved steadily “from glory to glory,” attributing its success to divine grace.

Dr. Ogunbiyi also applauded the Mutual Benefits Choir for their outstanding performance, stating that even from a distance, their ministration was exceptional. He sealed his appreciation with a cash gift to them round of applause, describing the worship session as “super mega.”

The night ended with prayers, warm fellowship and joyful celebrations, leaving guests spiritually uplifted as Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc rounded off the year in gratitude and faith.
