Ex ONDO FIBAN CHAIRMAN AND EXCO MOURN POPULAR IKERE ENTREPRENEUR AREMO AKOMOLAFE

The Ondo State Chapter of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), under the leadership of Comrade Oluwafemi Ariremako Oguntuase (2021–2024), has expressed profound grief over the sudden demise of Chief Akomolafe Alaba, popularly known as Aremo Area One, who passed away on December 14, 2025.

Aremo was a visionary entrepreneur, the Chairman/CEO of Aremo Global Investment, and a leading promoter of film and music in Ekiti and Ondo States. He owned a radio and TV station in Ikere Ekiti, scheduled for commissioning next year, and was renowned for attracting top musicians to Ekiti. Before his death, he had reportedly signed a deal with actors in Ekiti to produce content and create a platform to advance the state’s film and music industry.

Ex-Ondo FIBAN Chairman Comrade Oluwafemi Ariremako, speaking with Event Diary Lifestyle, highlighted Aremo’s generosity: “During my inauguration, he supported us with video equipment free of charge. He was always willing to support film production in Ondo State and genuinely had a passion for uplifting Ekiti artists.”

Beyond the arts, Aremo also had interests in the hotel business in Ikere Ekiti, demonstrating his entrepreneurial versatility.

The FIBAN Ondo State exco described him as a steadfast supporter of the association, noting that his financial and moral contributions will never be forgotten. “We pray that God Almighty reposes your soul and welcomes you into His bosom for eternity. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Mr. Akomolafe, we loved you, but Jesus loves you more,” the statement concluded.

The Ondo and Ekiti communities now mourn a man whose vision, influence, and generosity left an indelible mark on the creative and entrepreneurial landscape.
