DANGOTE DENIES OWNERSHIP OF TRUCK INVOLVED IN ENUGU ACCIDENT

…Says Investigation Confirms Vehicle Belongs to Visco Investment Global Limited

The Management of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) wishes to clarify that the truck involved in the recent accident in Enugu State does not belong to the Dangote Group.

Following a thorough investigation, it has been established that the vehicle in question is owned by Visco Investment Global Limited, a third-party operator.

We are engaging with the appropriate authorities to determine how the truck came to bear our logo despite not being part of our fleet. Going forward, the Group will intensify scrutiny to curb the unauthorised use of our brand identity, particularly the misuse of our logo on vehicles not affiliated with us.

While our policy is not to comment on individual incidents, we are compelled to respond to the increasing spread of misinformation linking such tragedies to the Dangote Group without substantiated evidence. We therefore urge the public and media to refrain from circulating unverified claims.

We remain fully committed to cooperating with the relevant authorities investigating the matter and call for an unhindered process to ensure accountability.

We categorically reject any attempt to exploit this unfortunate incident for malicious or financial purposes.

The Dangote Group reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the highest standards of corporate responsibility, safety, and integrity in all its operations.
