The Alara of Aramoko-Ekiti, Oba Olu Adegoke Adeyemi, has joined his ancestors. The revered monarch passed away on Friday at the age of 82.
Born on December 4, 1942, Oba Adeyemi’s life was defined by service in multiple capacities. He began his career as a teacher, later rose through the ranks as a senior civil servant, and served as Sole Administrator of the former Ifesowapo Local Government. His unwavering commitment to community growth continued after he ascended the throne in 2009, dedicating himself to peace, unity, and development in Aramoko-Ekiti.
During his time as Chancellor of Ekiti State University, the late Oba championed several landmark projects aimed at improving educational standards and expanding access for local students. His vision for education as a tool for empowerment made a lasting impact on both the institution and the community.
Throughout his reign, Oba Adeyemi worked tirelessly to attract development projects, preserve traditional values, and foster harmony among his people.
