Dr. Seun Osamaye has expressed heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty for her nomination as a Commissioner by the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
She also thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for elevating her from Special Adviser to Commissioner, appreciating the trust and confidence he has placed in her. Dr. Osamaye pledged her unwavering loyalty and support for the governor and his administration.
Having previously served as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, she has now been appointed a Commissioner in the state cabinet.

ABOUT DR. SEUN BOSEDE OSAMAYE
Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye, FCISM, FAFUED, is a distinguished academic, educationist, and gender advocate with over two decades of experience in teaching, management, strategic studies, socio-political development, and humanitarian service. She is a passionate leader in the promotion of gender equality and community empowerment.
Her teaching journey began in the Department of English at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, where she graduated as the best student in her class. Her career spans various levels of education and she is celebrated for her commitment to excellence, leadership, and compassion.
In 2019, she was the coordinator of the Small Alhaji Campaign Organisation, which led to the successful election of Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye to the House of Representatives (Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency) in the 9th National Assembly.
She recently earned a Ph.D. in English Language from Nasarawa State University, Keffi. She also holds a Master of Arts in English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a B.A. (Ed) in English (Second Class Upper) from Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. Her academic journey began at the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University of Education), where she obtained her NCE.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (FCISM), a Fellow of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (FAFUED), and holds an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Communication and Strategic Management from Prowess University, Delaware, USA.
LEADERSHIP AND ADVOCACY
Between 2019 and 2023, Dr. Osamaye served as Senior Legislative Aide on Gender Equality to Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (former Speaker, 9th House of Representatives and current Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu). In this role, she championed policies on gender rights, domestication of the VAPP Act, and gender-sensitive programming in partnership with civil society groups.
In her personal capacity, Dr. Osamaye initiated the annual "Give Back a Portion" empowerment program in 2019, donating vehicles, motorcycles, cash, food items, household appliances, grinding machines, and other resources to indigent women and youths in Ifedore Local Government.
She was recognized with the Young Woman of the Decade Award by TRACE News Magazine in 2021.
Dr. Osamaye also served as National President of the Progressive Young Women Forum from July 2021 to June 2023, initially appointed in an interim capacity by Hon. Stella Okotete and later confirmed by APC National Women Leader, Dr. Betta Edu. She worked closely with Dr. Edu as Special Adviser on Political Matters between July 2022 and February 2023.
Currently, she is the National Coordinator of the Progressive Change Agents Initiative (PCAi), an election intelligence gathering group with over 10,000 field officers that significantly contributed to President Bola Tinubu's 2023 electoral success.
HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS AND RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS
In December 2023, she constructed and donated a 200-capacity ultra-modern faculty library to her alma mater, further solidifying her commitment to educational advancement despite limited resources.
Her most recent recognitions include: Chronicle Magazine Leadership and Philanthropy Award (March 2024). Award of Honour and Leadership by the Nigeria Female Students Association (Ondo Chapter, March 2024). 100 Most Influential Progressives Award by The Progressives Magazine (April 2024). She was first appointed Special Adviser on Women Affairs to the Governor of Ondo State in June 2024 and reappointed in February 2025.
Her pet project, O’datiwa Women Initiatives, continues to serve as a platform for nurturing and empowering women across the state under the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
PERSONAL LIFE AND VISION
Dr. Osamaye is a strong advocate for policies that enhance access to education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and social welfare for women and girls, especially those with disabilities. She collaborates with local and international stakeholders to improve the lives of women and advance gender inclusion in governance.
She is happily married to Mr. Oladotun Emmanuel Osamaye, and their union is blessed with children.
