JUST IN: ODEMO OF ISARA, OBA ALBERT ADEBOSE MAYUNGBE, JOINS HIS ANCESTORS

The ancient town of Isara Remo, Ogun State, has been thrown into deep mourning following the passing of its revered monarch, Oba Albert Adebose Mayungbe, Erinsiba III, the 37th Odemo of Isara Remo and Chairman, Remo North Council of Obas.

The news of the monarch’s death broke at dawn today, leaving the community of Isara Afotamodi in shock and sorrow. His demise marks the end of a significant chapter in the town’s rich history.

Oba Mayungbe, who celebrated his 84th birthday just a few months ago, ascended the throne in 2018 and reigned with wisdom, peace, and unwavering commitment to the development of his people until his transition in 2025.

A proud descendant of the Erinsiba Ayoledoye Ruling House, the late monarch was admired for his humility, kindness, and generosity. His seven-year reign ushered in remarkable progress and unity across Isara Remo.

“There was a king who truly loved his people. Kabiyesi served Isara with dignity, honour, and a heart full of love,” a resident shared.

Condolences are pouring in for the royal family, the Erinsiba Ayoledoye ruling house, the Isara Development Council, traditional chiefs, the youth, and indigenes of Isara Remo both at home and in the diaspora.

Indeed, Isara has lost a beloved king.
Odemo Erinsiba is gone.
It is mourning time in Isara.
