ORIADE/OBOKUN 2027: PELUMI OLAJENGBESI ADVISES HON. WOLE OKE TO EMBRACE POLITICAL MATURITY

... As He Speaks on Oriade/Obokun House of Reps 2027 Race

Pelumi Olajengbesi Esq., a prominent political figure in Osun State, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 House of Representatives seat for Oriade/Obokun. In a strongly-worded memo, Olajengbesi urged the incumbent, Hon. Wole Oke, to display political maturity, stop his contradictory actions, and focus on serving the people rather than playing political games.

Olajengbesi, a loyal member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), criticized Oke for his recent social media outbursts and constant threats to leave the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Olajengbesi, Oke’s repeated defections have lost their impact, and the people of Oriade/Obokun, particularly in Ijesa North, are no longer concerned by these announcements.

"Not a single soul in Ijesa North, not even one person, will abandon PDP because of him, and he knows it," Olajengbesi remarked, highlighting the diminishing political influence of Oke in the region.

In his memo, Olajengbesi also exposed a series of behind-the-scenes events where Oke, despite privately pledging his support to Olajengbesi’s candidacy, was secretly plotting to retain his seat. Olajengbesi recalled how Oke had assured him of financial and logistical support for his campaign, only to later discover that Oke was working behind his back to secure another term.

"I followed his lead, only to later discover that behind the scenes, he was plotting to run again. How can a man have such uncontrollable appetite for deceit?" Olajengbesi questioned.

Further criticizing Oke’s political strategies, Olajengbesi pointed to Oke’s failed attempt to impose his preferred candidate during the recent Obokun local government elections. He also revealed that despite Oke’s public display of generosity, his late financial contribution to the election effort was rejected, signaling a lack of trust in his leadership.

As the 2027 elections approach, Olajengbesi made it clear that he intends to run a transparent and free campaign, with a focus on integrity and serving the people. He advised Oke to "wake up" and work on reconnecting with PDP stakeholders or risk becoming politically isolated.

"My advice to Wole Oke is simple: Wake up. Humble yourself. Adjust. Reunite with PDP stakeholders before you find yourself politically homeless," Olajengbesi urged.

With Olajengbesi’s declaration to run for the Oriade/Obokun House of Representatives seat, the political landscape in Osun State is set for a major shift. The rivalry between Olajengbesi and Oke will be one to watch as the 2027 elections draw nearer.
