NSACC ADVOCATES STRONGER BUSINESS RELATIONS WITH SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS

The Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce (NSACC) has reiterated its commitment to strengthening economic and trade ties between Nigeria and South Africa by advocating for continued collaboration with South African Airways (SAA).

Established 25 years ago, NSACC has consistently played a pivotal role in promoting bilateral business relations, serving as a dynamic platform for networking, policy advocacy, and investment facilitation between Africa’s two largest economies.

The call for deeper partnership was made during a recent courtesy visit by a South African Airways delegation led by its CEO, Professor John Lamola, to the NSACC Secretariat in Lagos. The visit aimed to foster stronger ties and explore new areas of mutual cooperation.

During the engagement, Professor Lamola and his four-member delegation held discussions with NSACC Chairman, Dr. Ije Jidenma, and other members of the Chamber's Board. The focus was on enhancing trade, boosting investment flows, promoting tourism, supporting visa facilitation for business travelers, and advancing joint policy advocacy.

Dr. Jidenma, while welcoming the delegation, reaffirmed the Chamber’s dedication to working closely with South African Airways and commended the airline for its longstanding partnership with NSACC spanning over two decades. She emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue, strategic collaboration, and innovation to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

On behalf of the Chamber, she congratulated Professor Lamola and his team on the airline’s steady progress and expressed appreciation for SAA’s continued support of NSACC’s initiatives.

Both parties agreed to strengthen their cooperation, underscoring that the partnership holds immense potential to generate significant value for Nigeria and South Africa through increased trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.
