PERNOD RICARD NIGERIA CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY WITH PRN WOMEN NETWORK

Pernod Ricard Nigeria, a subsidiary of the Pernod Ricard Group and a global leader in the spirits and wine industry, joined organizations worldwide to commemorate International Women's Day (IWD) 2025, themed "Accelerate Action."


To mark the occasion, Pernod Ricard Nigeria hosted a vibrant fireside chat at Jameson Yard, Lagos, bringing together female colleagues to discuss personal development, career growth, workplace challenges, and opportunities. The event also highlighted the four key pillars of the PRN Women NetworkEducation, MentoringWelfare Supportand Social Activities.

Renowned guest speaker Chioma Omeruah (Chigul) delivered an inspiring talk on overcoming challenges and building legacies, followed by an interactive Q&A session. The celebration also featured engaging hands-on activities, including: Bento cake design session, Basket weaving, A delightful lunch with Chef TuckerPhoto sessions and networking opportunities.

The event fostered a renewed sense of community, empowerment, and support among the women of Pernod Ricard Nigeria.

Speaking on the significance of IWD 2025, Michael Ehindero, Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Nigeria, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace. He expressed gratitude to the women of Pernod Ricard for their invaluable contributions and pledged continued support for the PRN Women Network.

Launched in November 2024, the PRN Women Network is more than just a support group—it is a platform for empowerment, inclusion, and professional growth. Its vision is to create an environment where women can support one another, maximize their potential, and maintain their individuality.

The network is governed by an advisory council and executive team, supported by four dynamic working groups. These groups focus on: Organizing technical and power skills training programs; Recommending and nominating women for seminars and conferencesProviding emotional support systemsDeveloping customized mentoring programs for soft and technical skills.

The PRN Women Network is not just about individual success—it is about contributing to a sustainable future. By empowering women, the network aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), including: Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10)

Through initiatives like the PRN Women Network, Pernod Ricard Nigeria continues to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that women thrive and lead in their careers and beyond.
