NAWOJ LAGOS CONGRATULATES MR. OLANREWAJU BAJULAYE ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS PERMANENT SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF TOURISM, ARTS & CULTURE

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos State Chapter extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Olanrewaju Adetokunbo Bajulaye on his well-deserved appointment as the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, on Monday, March 24, 2025.

On Monday, March 24, 2025, the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) led by the Chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Adeola Ekine paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Olanrewaju Adetokunbo Bajulaye at his office in Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja. The visit was to congratulate him on his well-deserved appointment as the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture

As part of its commitment to fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, a delegation from NAWOJ Lagos, led by its Chairperson, Dr. Adeola Ekine, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Bajulaye at his office in Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja. The visit was to formally congratulate him on his new role and present an official letter of goodwill.

During the visit, Dr. Ekine praised Mr. Bajulaye’s dedication, professionalism, and contributions to public administration and strategic communication. She described him as an exemplary leader whose experience as an astute Public Affairs Director will undoubtedly transform the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.

She also highlighted his long-standing support for NAWOJ Lagos and his active role as a He-for-She Ambassador, advocating for gender inclusivity and the advancement of women in journalism. Dr. Ekine commended his commitment to ethical journalism and his efforts in creating an enabling environment for female journalists to thrive.

In his remarks, Mr. Bajulaye expressed profound gratitude to NAWOJ Lagos for the thoughtful recognition and goodwill. He reaffirmed his commitment to gender equity and pledged continued support for initiatives that empower female journalists.

He acknowledged the vital role of journalists in nation-building and emphasized the importance of strengthening the synergy between the government and the media. He further assured NAWOJ of his readiness to collaborate in areas such as capacity building, advocacy, and public enlightenment, particularly in promoting Lagos State’s tourism sector.

The visit was marked by a warm exchange of ideas, with NAWOJ members commending Mr. Bajulaye for his open-door policy and commitment to inclusive governance. They expressed optimism that his leadership will foster greater partnerships between the media and the tourism sector, ultimately enhancing sustainable tourism development in Lagos State.
