Who is Olayide Adelami?
Born on April 3, 1958, in Owo, Ondo State, His Excellency Adelami’s journey is one of resilience, academic excellence, and distinguished service. He began his early education at St. Francis Catholic Primary School, Owo, before proceeding to Imade College, Owo, for his secondary education. His thirst for knowledge led him to the University of Lagos, where he earned a B.Sc. in Business Administration, followed by an MBA from Ogun State University and a Ph.D. in Security and Strategic Studies from Nasarawa State University.
His professional career took off in December 1983, when he joined the Federal Civil Service Commission as an accountant. His exceptional leadership and financial acumen quickly saw him rise through the ranks, leading to his appointment in the National Hospital, Abuja, and later, a distinguished tenure in the National Assembly, where he served as the Deputy Clerk before retiring in 2018.

Adelami’s foray into politics began under the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he established himself as a key stakeholder in Ondo State’s political landscape.
