Following the successful launch of the Interswitch Discovery Series at Babcock University in March 2024, Interswitch Group has advanced its commitment to fostering innovation in tertiary institutions with the second edition of the initiative. The latest event, held from January 29th to 31st at Landmark University, Kwara State, marked another milestone in the company’s efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
The Interswitch Discovery Series, a key component of Interswitch Group’s #SwitchAFuture initiative, aims to nurture technological and entrepreneurial talent within Africa’s higher education institutions. It complements existing programs like the InterswitchSPAK National Science Competition and forms part of the company's broader Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability agenda.
Program Highlights
The initiative is led by Interswitch Group’s Innovation and Ventures Team and includes:
- Entrepreneurship Workshops: Equipping students with entrepreneurial skills and a future-ready mindset.
- Design Thinking Sessions & Masterclasses: Fostering creative and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- The Grand Pitch: A platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas, with prizes, incentives, and incubation opportunities at Interswitch’s Innovation Lab and Incubator.
The next edition of the Interswitch Discovery Series is set to take place at Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, from February 26th to 28th, 2025.
