SOLUDO LAUNCHES ANAMBRA SECURITY INITIATIVE 'OPERATION UDO GA-ACHI'

Governor Charles Soludo has inaugurated a state security initiative code-named “Operation Udo Ga-Achi” (translated as "Operation Peace Shall Reign"). This robust security framework, supported by 200 vehicles and over 2,000 personnel, aims to combat crime across Anambra State, ensuring safety for citizens, businesses, and investors.

The initiative stems from the signing of the Anambra State Homeland Security Law 2025 by Governor Soludo. The unveiling ceremony took place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the International Convention Centre in Awka, the state capital.

Dignitaries present included members of the Anambra State Executive Council, Senators, State Governors, Local Government Area Mayors, Traditional Rulers, members of the Diplomatic Community, and other notable leaders.

Key Features of Operation Udo Ga-Achi

According to Christian Aburime, the governor's Chief Press Secretary, the new security operation integrates personnel from various security agencies, including: The Nigerian Army, Police, Navy, Department of State Services (DSS), Civil Defence, Special Forces

Agunechemba, a state-structured security outfit established under the Homeland Security Law.

The initiative is equipped with cutting-edge technologies, including: AI-powered surveillance cameras for statewide monitoring.

A command-and-control system integrating voice, video, and data for security management.

Walkie-talkies and other advanced communication tools.
