The unfolding saga of a multi-million naira fraud at Brila Media Group has taken a new turn with the arrest of another suspect, Babafemi Raji, popularly known as Topmost Striker. Raji, a former staff member of the media group, was reportedly taken into custody last week by operatives of the Federal Intelligence Department, Force Headquarters, Lagos.
Sources reveal that Raji's arrest is tied to an alleged N150 million fraud uncovered within the organization. Investigations have pointed to a cartel operating within Brila Media that allegedly siphoned funds over several years.
The arrest follows a series of interrogations and investigations by authorities, during which other individuals reportedly implicated Raji in the scheme. Some of those previously arrested are said to have admitted their roles and are seeking amicable settlements.
Efforts to get comments from Larry Izamoje, the founder of Brila Media Group, have so far been unsuccessful.
Currently out on administrative bail, Raji is expected to face charges soon. The police are reportedly widening their investigation to apprehend other collaborators involved in the alleged financial scam.
This arrest marks another significant development in the quest for justice and accountability within the embattled media organization.
