The launch of "Operation Udo Ga-Achi" (Peace Must Reign) and the strengthening of the Agunechemba vigilante group were highlighted as critical milestones in the governor’s security strategy. These well-structured initiatives have been instrumental in disrupting criminal networks and restoring peace across the state.
Aburime also lauded the deployment of artificial intelligence-aided surveillance tools and a fleet of security vehicles, which have enhanced law enforcement efforts, leading to the swift tracking and apprehension of criminals.
Dismantling Criminal Hideouts: The La Cruise Hotel Discovery
One of the most shocking revelations of this security push was the discovery and subsequent demolition of Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as La Cruise Hotel, in Oba.
This establishment, which posed as a legitimate business, was found to house a gruesome secret—over 30 partitioned graves and a shrine, exposing the horrifying criminal activities that took place within its premises.
