The Office of the Special Adviser to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs has introduced a new initiative aimed at supporting widows and orphans in Ondo State.
The program, organized under the O'datiwa Care Initiative and titled "Give Back a Portion 2024," will take place from December 19th to 25th. It will include the distribution of food items to widows, the provision of essential materials to orphans and orphanages, assistance for people living with disabilities, and outreach programs for street beggars.Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye, the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, emphasized the administration's commitment to reaching the most vulnerable members of society. She described the initiative as a testament to Governor Aiyedatiwa's dedication to social welfare.
In her words, “We commend Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for creating a platform that enables us to impact lives positively through the Give Back a Portion 2024 program.”
The seven-day program will take place across all three senatorial districts of Ondo State. Dr. Osamaye further highlighted Governor Aiyedatiwa’s unparalleled passion for the welfare of widows and orphans, calling it a hallmark of his administration.
The initiative aligns with the governor's broader efforts to empower women and promote social inclusion throughout the state.
