All roads lead to the Fountain of Knowledge city of Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital as families and friends of Mrs. Elizabeth Fadipe nee Ojo, an educator cum business mogul will be celebrating her 70th birthday in grand style with hundreds of celebrities and personalities in attendance.
The 70th birthday party of Mama Joy as fondly called will take place at AB Foundation Civic Centre, Opopogboro Street, close to Nova junction, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State on Saturday 13th of July 2024. The event will be attended by A-list personalities in and outside Ekiti.
The Celebrant's husband and her children are leaving no stone unturned in celebrating their mother's milestone age. According to the children who described their mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Bosede Fadipe nee Ojo as a woman of honour whose life is a testament to the power of love, wisdom and grace. Stating that her journey is a source of inspiration, her legacy a beacon of hope, and her presence a gift to all who have the privilege of knowing her, loved her and admired her for her simplicity and generosity. The children also appreciate friends and well wishes who will be joining them in thanking God for the grace to witness another year. BRIEF ABOUT THE CELEBRANT
Elizabeth Bosede Fadipe Nee Ojo was born on June 16th, 1954 to Mr. Peter Ojo popularly known as Baba Inurin and Chief Mrs. Morenike Ojo a native of Ikoro Ekiti in the Ijero Local Government area of Ekiti State. She is the fourth of the sixth children of her parents.
From a young age, Eli as fondly called by her siblings and family members always had an affinity for learning, sports and cooking but in those days, the opportunities were not readily available so she would follow her father to the farm, and this built her resilience. When the opportunity to start primary school came, she was enrolled even though she was short in height, that did not deter her and her friends. She was also involved in track and field where she excelled at her school in Ikoro Ekiti.
Education continues to beckon Elizabeth, leading her to teachers’ Training college at Ondo town in Ondo state, staying with her only sister- Mrs. Lucy Onisile, where she embraced her vocation as an educator. With passion and dedication, she served as a social studies teacher and Christian religious knowledge (CRK) teacher at a prestigious secondary school named Christ's School Ado Ekiti in Ekiti state, Nigeria and later at Christ’s Girls School before retiring in 2006. Her impact went beyond textbooks and classrooms, as she instilled values of love, patience, and endurance in her students, leaving an enduring legacy that transcended academic boundaries.
In the process of education, Mama found her soulmate in a young dark accountant named Lawrence Oluwafemi Fadipe. Together, with her husband they embarked on a journey of love, unity, and shared dreams, blessed with the joy of raising three wonderful children; Oluwaseun, Adebola and Modupe who are today successful in their choice of profession. Their home became a sanctuary of warmth, laughter, and unwavering support, reflecting Elizabeth's nurturing spirit and commitment to family.
She being a teacher, has a huge value on education and this is evident in the life of all her children. Elizabeth waged through every challenge in her life and marriage to emerge as a true mother to great nations not just her children, but several family members that passed through her tutelage. Elizabeth’s name quickly changed to Mama Joy because of the aura of love and joy she brings wherever she goes as she continues to impact knowledge beyond her school teachings.
A beacon of generosity and compassion, Mama Joy’s heart has always been attuned to the needs of others. Her innate ability to uplift, guide, and nurture people has touched countless lives, inspiring others through her acts of kindness and selflessness. Whether through her words of wisdom, acts of giving, or role as a mentor and model of endurance, Mama Joy has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who have had the privilege of knowing her.
Elizabeth’s astute financial acumen and meticulous attention to detail have made her an invaluable treasurer in various organizations and community groups. She would sell clothes, shoes, and household items to augment her finances over time and up till now, she is still very much into that business but on a larger scale. Her integrity, diligence, and steadfast commitment to excellence have earned her the respect and trust of her peers, showcasing her exemplary leadership and dedication. She went back to obtain a bachelor’s degree in education even after having her children. She modelled to her children and everyone around her that age is not a deterrent to achieving any goal in life.
