This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of high transportation costs for non-indigenous residents of Ondo East LGA as they journey to celebrate with their families.

The shuttle bus service benefits several communities, including Asantan Oja, Asantan Bayewa, Asantan Fiibe, and Asantan Orisunmibare.

Residents have expressed their gratitude for this service.

When asked about the gesture, Bolaji Daramola shared:

"Growing up, I understood the importance of the Ileya celebrations and have fond memories of visiting my grandmother, Alhaja Awanatu Usiola Daramola, former Iya Adini of Ondo Kingdom. It is a time when family members from far and wide gather to celebrate together.

"With the rising cost of transportation, I felt compelled to assist non-indigenous Muslims who wished to travel home for the festivities. Therefore, I initiated this free shuttle service from Ondo, passing through Ifetedo, Ife, and concluding in Osogbo."

This initiative is a testament to BOD's commitment to supporting rural communities in the wake of the present economic realities, especially in Ondo Kingdom.
