EXCLUSIVE: FORMER SLA PRINCIPAL, MRS. OMOBOLANLE MABEL AYINTETE SET TO SHUT DOWN AKURE FOR HER 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

All roads lead to the sunshine city of Akure, Ondo State capital as the immediate past Principal of Saint Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure, Mrs. Omobolanle Mabel Ayintete will be celebrating her 60th birthday in grand style with hundreds of celebrities.

The event which will take place at Matgas Event Centre, Akure Ondo State on Saturday 1st of June, 2024 will be attended by A-list celebrities in and outside Akure for the event. 

The immediate past Principal of Saint Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure, Mrs. Omobolanle Mabel Ayintete who bows out of service on Wednesday 22nd May 2024 after servicing for 35 years started her career with the Ondo State Teaching Service Commission during the era of Old Ondo State as a Classroom teacher in Ifaki Grammar School, Ifaki-Ekiti in 1989. Also during her NYSC, she served as a teacher in the School of Nursing at Wesley Guild, Ilesha; an affiliate of University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife in 1987/1988.

To make the day memorable families, friends, colleagues, associates, students and well-wishers are leaving no stone unturned to celebrate a compassionate teacher and seasoned School Administrator, Mrs. Omobolanle Mabel Ayintete the immediate past Principal of Saint Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure as she celebrates her Diamond Jubilee.

BRIEF ABOUT THE CELEBRANT

the immediate past Principal of Saint Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure, Mrs. Omobolanle Mabel Ayintete was born 60 years ago to the family of Mr. Isaac and Mrs. Esther Falaiye; both indigenes of Akure. She is the second daughter of her parents.

She attended Omolere Nursery and Primary School, Akure from her primary education; she moved to St. Stephen’s Primary School, Akure where she had her Primary School Certificate in the year 1976 and later proceeded to St. Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure in the same year and had her WAEC in the year 1981. She gained admission into the Federal School of Arts and Science, Ondo. From there, she was admitted into the prestigious University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. 

She graduated with a B.A. in English Language in 1987, and did her NYSC in 1987/1988 as a teacher in the School of Nursing at Wesley Guild, Ilesha; an affiliate of University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife. She had her Post-Graduate Diploma in Education in 2003 at the University of Ado-Ekiti now Ekiti State University. She joined the Ondo State Teaching Service Commission as a Classroom teacher at Ifaki Grammar School, Ifaki-Ekiti in 1989. 

Between 1989 and 2018, she served in various schools in the Old Ondo as a Class Teacher: Ifaki Grammar School, Ifaki-Ekiti (in the then Ido local government) Ekiti State, Comprehensive High School, Ikare Akoko and Ijo Mimo Oluwa High School, Akure. And she rose to the position of Vice Principal of Academic and Administration of several schools in Ondo State which includes, Methodist High School, Idanre, St. Michael's Catholic High School, Ijoka, St. Francis Grammar School, Akure and United C.A.C. Grammar School, Aule. Until she was appointed as the Principal of Anglican Grammar School, Iju/Itaogbolu, Ondo in 2018 and the same year she was posted to Eji-Oba High School, Oba-Ile, from where she was posted to a Grade 1 school; and in October 2019, she was posted to St. Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure. As a principal, she made her landmark in all the schools where she worked. And she doesn’t take NO for an answer, she sees possibilities where others are seeing problems. She is a mother to the students and an achiever in academics, administration and infrastructural development. In all these schools, she demonstrated her ability as an astute leader and administrator per excellence. 

As a dedicated teacher, an administrator per excellence, an erudite scholar, and a leader; not a boss, she is passionate about her teaching profession and commitment to her job which makes her go the extra mile to achieve lofty goals which have earned her various recognition awards, Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology being the Best Principal of Eji-Oba High School 2018/2019; City Movers Magazine Award of Honour; Akure Emerald Lions Club (Humanitarian Award); Catholic Women Organisation (Special Mother of the Year); Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria, Ondo/Ekiti Chapter – 12th August 2022; Award of Recognition of Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Mathematics – 14th March 2022; African Education Monitor Magazine – 4th March 2022; The Refinery Church International Mobilizer Award – 26th November 2022 among others. 

Ayintete Omobolanle is a devoted Christian and an ordained Deaconess in The Refinery Church International, she is a genuine lover of God. 

She is happily married to the Late Mr. Ayintete Samuel Oluwalana and the union is blessed with wonderful children. She is a committed mother and a prayer warrior who goes the extra for her children to ensure they are successful in life. 

She made positive impacts on the lives of the students, staff and the parents at large. She is a proud product of Saint Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure. A mentor and a role model, a disciplinarian and a committed daughter of God.
