Former First Lady of Lagos State, Her Excellency, Dame Abimbola Emmanuella Fashola and her siblings were joined by their family, friends and well-wishers as they bade a final farewell to their late mum, Mama Edith Baby Dibofu, (a.k.a. Iya Aladura) who was laid to rest in Lagos Saturday after funeral service was at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba, Lagos.
The wake keeps and evening of tributes was held earlier Thursday in Surulere. The Immediate-past minister of works and housing and one of Mama’s sons-in-law (Mr Babtunde Fashola SAN) was fully on the ground to give maximum support to his wife and the family.
Dignitaries from different walks of life attended the ceremonies. Iya Aladura as formerly called passed on on 24 June, 2023 at the age of 87.
