OSUN: GOV. ADELEKE DEBUNKED NEWS OF NOMINATING DAUGHTER FOR COMMISSIONER SAYS MRS. ADELEKE IS THE LATE GOVERNOR’S WIFE

Shortly after the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly released the list of the 25 commissioner and special advisers nominees, Mrs Adenike Folashade Adeleke representing the Osogbo Local Government area of Osun state name have cause controversy.

Stating that the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has included the name of his daughter-in-law, Mrs Adeleke as one of the names he sent to the Osun State Assembly for approval for the office of Commissioners, according to the rumour.

However, the Osun State government has come out and disclosed that Mrs Adeleke is the daughter of Chief Omidiran of Osogbo Land and wife of the late Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Isiaka Adeleke.

This information was disclosed by Ademola Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, in a statement that was issued to deny rumours that the governor’s daughter and uncle were included in the list of nominated commissioners.

The Osun State government stressed that Ademola Adeleke’s daughter, Adenike Folasade Adeleke, and his uncle, Prof Maroof Adeleke will not be part of Ademola Adeleke’s cabinet after the Osun State House of Assembly approves the list of nominated commissioners.
