There is confusion as Armed security men have sealed off the Ondo State House of Assembly Complex at Alagbaka Akure today, Friday morning.
The action of the policemen and others may not be unconnected with a suspected plot by the outgoing members of the assembly to impeach the outgoing Speaker, Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun.
It was gathered that the two gates of the assembly complex were blocked by armed security men from the Nigerian police.
It was not yet clear why the Lawmakers are planning to impeach the speaker.
When contacted on the telephone, the Chairman of, the House Committee on Information, Hon Olugbenga Omole confirmed that armed security men prevented the final plenary sitting of the Assembly that was supposed to hold today Friday.
Omole dismissed insinuation that the Speaker had resigned, adding that the signature of Oleyelogun was forged on a fake letter in circulation.
The outgoing Spokesman of the House said there are plots to scuttle the last sitting of the 9th Assembly.
