Yinka Odumakin's Mum Passes On At 93, Two Years After Son’s Death
Madam Alice Odumakin, the mother of the late National Publicity Secretary of the pan- Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Mr Yinka Odumakin, has died at the age of 93.
Yinka Odumakin died on April 3, 2021, of Covid-19-related ailments at LASUTH Ikeja Lagos at 54 years.
Elder Ezekiel Odumakin, the late husband of the deceased died just 8 months ago. He died on the evening of August 29, 2022, at 116 years old.
According to a short statement titled: ‘Odumakin: Heavens gain a third angel,’ a copy of which was made available to newsmen by late Yinka’s wife, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin, the matriarch died on Wednesday morning in Ikorodu, Lagos around 10.15 a.m. She revealed that Yinka’s mother never recovered from the death of her son and husband till she gave up the ghost.
Okei-Odumakin, however, said the family would soon make available further information on the passing of the matriarch. The statement read: “The matriarch of the Odumakin family, Madam Alice Odumakin has passed on. Yinka Odumakin’s mother passed on this Elder Ezekiel Odumakin, th morning in Ikorodu, Lagos at about 10:30 am.
