SPOTLIGHT: MEET THE PIONEER PROVOST OF CREST FM MEDIA ACADEMY, TEMITOPE DARE

Temitope Dare is a vivacious and inspiring young woman who has established herself in the Ondo State media industry.  
This industrial mathematics graduate from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State (FUTA) is the pioneer Provost of Crest FM Media Academy, a media training facility that seeks to give young people the skills they need to excel in the media sector.

Miss. Temitope Ajoke Dare fondly called Ajoke Diamond is a native of a Kabba/Bunu local government area of Kogi state has over ten years of experience in the media sector and has collaborated and worked with some of the top names in the industry.

She is a project consultant in addition to being a newscaster, reporter, news editor, presenter and producer. She presently serves as Provost of the Crest Media School as well as Head of Crest FM's Business Development unit.

Ajoke Diamond is the youngest of four children of Engineer Kayode Dare and the late Mrs. Funmilayo Dare. She was born in the early 80's at the teaching hospital of Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria. She started her elementary education at Aviation Staff School in Zaria. Before her parents relocated to Lagos she enrolled at Learning Field Primary and Nursery School,  Satellite Town, Lagos. She proceeded to  Federal Government Girl's College Ipetumodu, Osun state. She was a pioneer student of the school. She gained admission to the Federal University of Technology in Akure, Ondo State where she studied Industrial Mathematics. She is currently at the National Open University to further her academic pursuits. She also attended the National Broadcast Academy for broadcast certification.    

Her passion for media started at a younger age, but she under study prominent broadcasters where she secured her media foundation with the likes of Ambrose Olutayo Somide of Raypower 100.5 Fm Alagbado and Africa Independent Television, AIT, Ibiyemi Olufowobi of Raypower 100.5 Fm, Abiola Aberuagba  Raypower 100.5 Fm, Lara Owoeye Wise (News) Africa Independent Television, AIT Network and Emmanuel Oriowo of Radio Nigeria, positive 102.5 Fm Akure whom she understudied for 4 years and Mani Onumonu of Radio Nigeria Network News.

She worked with Africa Independent Television, AIT Ray Power FM, Akure, Ondo State and Ibadan Oyo State on both local and network broadcasts as a Newscaster, presenter, producer and special projects executive. She worked with Music and Culture 106.5 fm Ondo, Ondo State as head of news, programs and special projects until. She had a brief stint with Adaba 88.9 FM, Akure. Thereafter she worked as an Assistant Director at the Directorate of Media and Corporate Affairs of Achievers' University, Owo, Ondo State until she joined Crest 106.1 FM, Akure in March 2020. 

She was a Network Newscaster and Reporter with Africa Independent Television, (AIT) and Raypower FM. She has presented and produced programmes like Raypower Flashback, Remind Me Old Skool, Tech World, on Raypower FM Akure and Ibadan, Our Culture, Insight on Music and Culture 106.1fm, Fertility Clinic, Eve's Lounge, Kiddies Time, Soul Serenade, Night cruise and the Crest Breakfast show on Crest 106.1 FM Akure, among others.

The Crest Media Academy which started in 2021, was one of her projects as the head of the business unit of the station. They have trained students in Basic presentation and basic production techniques. To date, the Academy has efficiently equipped 3 batches of 88 fresh broadcasters into the media firmament. 

She is an avid child rights advocate and media partner with the United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF South West, Nigeria.

She is the founder of Alphacrystal International Limited, registered in 2014 for media consultancy. She handles several media projects in the state.

Her hobbies are Reading, writing, gardening, cooking and listening to music.
