A lone accident on Saturday claimed the lives of four people while 13 other passengers sustained various degree of injuries in Akoko area of Ondo State.
The accident which occurred along Ikaram Akunu Akoko Road involved an Ash colour Hiace Toyota commercial vehicle with and was on its way to the northern part of the country.
An eye witness account attributed the accident to tyre burst .
Speaking on the accident, the unit commander of FRSC Ikare Akoko mr Oluropo Alabi said the rescue crew of the command rushed to the scene of the accident along Ikaram Akunu road as soon as information got to them.
Alabi confirmed that the corpses were deposited at the morgue of Ikare Akoko specialist hospital while the injured also received treatment at the same hospital.
The divisional police officer okeagbe Akoko supretendent SP Paullinus Unnah also confirmed that the vehicle involved was in police custody at Ikaram Akoko.
