Osun Monarch, Olufon Of Ifon-Orolu Is Dead

 

A Paramount Monarch in Osun state, Olufon of Ifon-Orolu, Oba Almaroof Adekunle Magbagbeola Olumoyero is dead

According to source, the monarch joined his ancestors shortly after a brief illness on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the monarch gave up the ghost at a private hospital.

Causes of his death could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

A source closed to the palace said the announcement would soon be made officially.

Mourners, mostly residents of the town have gathered at the palace of the monarch to sympathize and express sadness over the development.

The National Publicity Secretary of Ifon-Orolu Progressive Union, Prince Jide Akinyooye, when contacted kept mum on the development.

He simply said, “wait for official communication from the governor.”

The late Monarch ancest the throne of his forefather in May 28th, 2007 and he reign for 14 years before joining his ancestors. State, the Olufon of Ifon is the paramount ruler of Irepodun/Orolu Traditional Council. He was also a king of three communities of  Ifon, Ilobu and Erin-Osun.
