The way in which people are using social media platforms to achieve fame these days is becoming alarming. Probably they do these things for the sake of clout chasing or whatever reason known to them alone. I just wonder what people gain by claiming a false identity. The way in which people peddle fake, unfounded and sourceless stories is just unimaginable.

The news of Dino Melaye alledgely buying a lamborghini for his eleven years old daughter made headline some minutes ago and it got propagated by various media platforms. I had to make a research on9llll how true the story is. 

I checked for update on Senator Dino Melaye’s official Twitter handle @dino_melaye to see if he shared a tweet about his daughter’s birthday or buying a car for her, but there was no story as such on his handle. I felt that there was something fishy about the story.

It was getting more obvious that the story was fake, how can he not wish his daughter a happy birthday on his Twitter handle when he made a tweet about having a lunch with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. There was no way Dino Melaye would have forgotten about his daughter’s birthday and how comes this story was announced by the so called Mary Melaye.

The outspoken and courageous Nigerian Senator has taken to his official Twitter handle @dino_melaye to debunk claims of buying a lamborghini for his so called Social media daughter who identified herself as Mary Melaye.

He wrote;

“I have no daughter called Mary and the Instagram account with the name Mary Melaye is fake. How can any responsible father but even a KIA Rio for a child @11. Dino matter dey sweet una to lie sha.”

Having heard from the horse’s mouth, you can now disregard any news from any media outlet about Senator Dino Melaye buying a lamborghini for his eleven years old daughter.
