According to the Statement, which stated that, Members of Ondo State House of Assembly have resolved to harass the publisher of Triangle Magazine, Femi Salako for breaking the news of the suspension of the only Zenith Labour Party member in the house.
A source within the assembly revealed that the plot to harass Femi Salako was championed by former Chairman House Committee on Media, Hon. Gbenga Omole.
It also revealed that the decision to harass Femi Salako was taken on the members WhatsApp platform of Ondo State House of Assembly in the evening time of Tuesday.
It however remains unclear what the members of Ondo State House of Assembly meant by its resolve to
harass Femi Salako.
" It is as surprising as disappointing that Hon. Gbenga Omole could have instigated his colleagues to harass me for breaking the news of the suspension of Hon. Tomide Akinribido. Although I still cannot decipher the security connotation of the word 'harassment' as deployed by members of Ondo State House of Assembly. However, I am glad that this threat is already in the public domain now in case of any ugly occurrence", said Salako.

Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun has distanced himself from the threat to harass the publisher of Triangle magazine, Femi Salako.
The speaker made his position known during a telephone discussion with Femi Salako on Tuesday. Oloyelogun however, clarified that the decision of the house to suspend Hon. Tomide Akinribido indefinitely was taken to safe the assembly from disrepute and disgrace.
The speaker also explained that the suspension of Hon. Akinribido was
taken in line with the laid down rules of the assembly. He added that the unbecoming WhatsApp chats that led to the suspension of Hon. Akinribido were unbecoming of any honourable member. Oloyelogun also added that the suspended ZLP member neither denied authorship of the chats nor showed any form of remorse while the investigation lasted.
