The suit filed by Barrister Konstante Timi Olopele against embattled Ondo Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Alfred Ajayi has been fixed for substantive hearing 5th August, 2020.
Justice Bode Adegbengbe denied the plaintiff Exparte Order prayed by Barrister Anthony Macleans, saying there is no real urgency in the contention that the Deputy Governor is in breach of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers; that the law can always catch up with him before the Election if proven. The Judge adjourned to 5th August, 2020 for hearing of the substantive suit challenging the eligibility and or qualifications of the embattled Deputy Governor to hold Public Office.
Above is the fact in issue; Law, not political falsehood and campaign propaganda embarked upon by the DGOV and his political street urchins. This is highly tricky and explosively slippery for the ONDO PDP and her Teeming Faithful who have great opportunity to wrestle power from the internally fractured ruling APC. What if Agboola Ajayi wins the Party Nomination and the Court finds him guilty before Election, perhaps, after close of Candidate Replacement Window ? What shall be the fate of the loyal PDP members who have suffered from 2016 to now? NOT political prostitutes who care less about jumping parties in seconds. Agboola Ajayi may be found guilty and subsequently disqualified. The PDP may have NO Candidate for the Ondo Governorship Election.
The PDP and her faithful are faced with two vital choices. They either nominate from amongst Tayo Jegede SAN, Eddy Olafeso Ph.D, Sola Ebiseni Esq. and Banji Okunomo OR Agboola Ajayi whose political fate is in negative balance. Ondo State, the most academically enlightened State ought not gamble over clear choices and persons battling to justify mere WAEC Certificate and legal breaches.
THE PDP CAN WIN OR SELF-DEFEAT.
