Ondo State Governorship aspirant, Prince Jimi Odimayo has facilitate with the Muslim faithful across the globe as the celebrate this year Ileya festival.
According to his release made available to EDL news through his Media Aide, Yemi Akintomide, he said. As Islamic faithful across the world celebrate this year Eid el-Kabir, otherwise known as Ileya festival, former governorship aspirant in the July 20, 2020 All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election in Ondo State, Prince Jimi Odimayo has urged Muslims in the state to hold on to the tenets, dictates and teachings of the Almighty Allah as preached by His Prophet, Mohammad (SAW).
Odimayo, in his goodwill message to the Islamic faithful in Ondo State and the world at large, stressed that everyone must continue to give worthy offering of love, oneness and selflessness to fellow man as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim who sacrificed his only son, Ismail to Almighty Allah in obedient; but got rewarded by setting Ismail free.
The Ode-Irele born businessman turned politician enjoined Muslim brothers and sisters in the State to celebrate Eid-EL-Kabir in peace and strict adhere to all the safety health measures to curtain the spread of the novel Covid-19 pandemic, praying to God to grant humanity success, protection, good health, long life and ability to conquer the pandemic soonest.
He urged the Muslim faithful to use this occasion to also pray for the peaceful conduct of the October 20, 2020 Governorship Election in Ondo State, adding that only in the atmosphere of peace and harmony that the state can develop rapidly and her citizens can enjoy full dividends of democracy.
Odimayo also used the festive moment to enjoy Muslims, and indeed, Ondo electorate to come out in large numbers to support and reelect the candidate of APC and incumbent governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for another term of four years to enable him completed all the laudable and people's oriented projects that are ongoing across the hooks and crannies of Ondo State.
"As we all go about celebrating the goodness of Almighty Allah at this year Eid el-Kabir, let us adhere strictly to the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), by showing love and generosity to our neighbours, share our ram meat and food with the poor and have-not according to the teaching of holy Quran and obedience to Allah’s commandment.
