One of his wish was to live beyond 70 years of age. Late Ajimobi is a man who live a fulfilled life. He make history as the first Governor in the history of Oyo state to rule the state for 8 years. He was the first senator to be appointed Governor. His late father was a politician and a House of Assembly lawmaker, his uncle once served as Minister. And he was a senator and governor and he was even appoint acting National Chairman of his party APC, the position he never occupy.
The former Governor of Oyo state Senator Abiola Ajimobi will be buried in Ibadan at 10:00 am on Friday according to the Islamic rites at his Oluyole resident, Ibadan, Oyo state.
It was gathered that the former Governor had been on a life support machine since last Friday at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, after slipping into a coma following Coronavirus complications, finally died on Thursday.
It was learnt that the former Oyo governor had a lung surgery since being rushed to the Lagos hospital but made no progress while his kidneys had also failed.
He is one of the high-profiling prominent Nigerians including late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, Senator Bayo Osinowo another others who had died at the First Cardiology Hospital in the last 2 months.
