BREAKING: Inspector-General Of Police Orders Ondo Police Commissioner To Restore Deputy Governor’s Security Details

The Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, has ordered the return of the security aides of Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, with immediate effect.

The IG gave the directive to the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami in a letter issued through the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Department of Operations, Force headquarters Abuja.

A copy of the letter which was signed by Austine Agbonlahor on Monday with Ref. No CB: 2002/DOPS/FHQ/ABJ/VOL/77/168.

This was after Ajayi raised an alarm last Wednesday that his security details had been withdrawn by the Nigeria Police on the directive of the Commissioner of Police in the state.

Of which the commmissipner of Police, Salami denied given such directive to withdraw security aides attached to the Deputy Governor.

On the other hand, Agboola accused the Commissioner of Police of acting the script of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, in withdrawing the officers.

It will be recall that men of the Nigeria Police attached to the government house in Alagbaka, Akure led by Salami had also prevented the deputy governor from going out on June 20.

The deputy governor officially dumped the APC on June 21, announcing his return to the PDP.
