Barr. Gbenga Akinbuli has joined the global community in celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child, calling for greater protection of girls’ rights and expanded access to education, safety and equal opportunities.
In his message, Akinbuli emphasised that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, pursue her dreams and fulfil her potential in a society where her dignity is protected and her voice is heard.
He called on government, policymaker, families, communities and relevant institutions to work towards creating an environment where girls feel safe, valued and empowered to shape their futures.
“Let us build a society where every girl feels safe, valued and empowered to fulfil her potential,” he said.
Akinbuli is the SDP candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Ondo East/Ondo West Federal Constituency.
