The announcement on LinkedIn described the development as a new phase for the fast-moving consumer goods company, signalling continuity while strengthening its focus on operational discipline and sustainable growth.
But beyond the corporate announcement, Omodele’s elevation tells a deeper story of a finance executive whose career has been built steadily through audit, governance, and corporate transformation roles across some of Nigeria’s most structured business environments.
From Audit Floor to Boardroom Influence
Omodele began her professional journey at KPMG Professional Services, where she built her foundation in audit and assurance across sectors including FMCG, energy, financial services, and utilities. She rose through the ranks to Senior Manager, earning a reputation for technical depth in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Her career took an international dimension during a secondment to KPMG South Africa’s Department of Professional Practice, where she worked on global audit methodologies and governance frameworks. She later contributed to establishing the Professional Practice unit within KPMG Nigeria.
Climbing the Corporate Ladder at UAC
She joined the UAC of Nigeria Plc group in 2020 as Technical Accounting and Reporting Lead, before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance. In that role, she oversaw group-wide financial reporting, controls, and performance management across subsidiaries.
Her influence expanded further when she served as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Livestock Feeds Plc, gaining exposure to governance at board level within the conglomerate structure.
She later became Chief Financial Officer of UAC Foods, where she was responsible for financial strategy, operational efficiency, and profitability management across the company’s product portfolio.
Academic and Professional Profile
Omodele holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos and an Executive MBA from Lagos Business School. She also completed executive education in data analytics and emerging technologies at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business.
She is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
A Leadership Transition Anchored on Finance Discipline
Her elevation from CFO to Managing Director and CEO positions her as a finance-driven operator now tasked with steering one of Nigeria’s most recognisable consumer goods companies.
UAC Foods Limited operates brands such as Gala sausage rolls, Supreme ice cream, Swan natural spring water, and Funtime chips—products deeply embedded in Nigeria’s everyday consumption culture.
The appointment, first highlighted via LinkedIn, reflects a leadership strategy increasingly favouring financial rigor, operational efficiency, and steady expansion over structural disruption.
