Veteran Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has officially announced the release of a new 2-in-1 studio album titled Acapella & Metamorphosis, scheduled to drop on May 26, 2026.

The announcement was made through promotional materials shared on the singer’s official social media platforms, sparking excitement and anticipation among fans of the Fuji icon ahead of the upcoming Ileya season.

The visual artwork for the project presents Osupa in a calm and regal posture, reinforcing the veteran artiste’s signature image of maturity, discipline, and cultural depth within Nigeria’s Fuji music scene.

Although the full tracklist and featured collaborators have not yet been unveiled, the dual-title concept has already generated strong online discussions. The first part, Acapella, suggests a stripped-down, vocal-driven approach, while Metamorphosis points to a transformation or evolution in sound and storytelling.

Together, the project appears to signal a blend of traditional Fuji elements with a refreshed, modern interpretation—an approach that aligns with Osupa’s long-standing reputation for innovation within the genre.

Over the years, Osupa has remained one of the most influential voices in Fuji music, widely respected for his lyrical depth, cultural storytelling, and strong fanbase across Nigeria and the diaspora. Despite shifts in the music industry, he has consistently maintained relevance through both classic releases and contemporary adaptations.

Industry observers note that the decision to release a 2-in-1 album stands out in today’s fast-paced digital music era, where many artistes focus on singles and short EPs. For a veteran act, such a project is often viewed as a statement of artistic confidence and longevity.

Fans have continued to react positively online, with many already counting down to the official release date across major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, YouTube Music, TIDAL, and Deezer.

As anticipation builds, Acapella & Metamorphosis is expected to further cement Osupa’s place as one of Fuji music’s most enduring and respected figures.
