Reactions have continued to pour in across social media following revelations by the ex-girlfriend of popular Nigerian entertainer Segun Johnson, who opened up on TikTok about how their 13-year relationship allegedly came to an abrupt end.
The woman, identified as Deborah Eju, known on TikTok as @debrakiin, shared her experience in a series of emotional voice notes, sparking widespread debate among Nigerians online. She explained that the breakup came after she relocated from the United Kingdom to Nigeria at his insistence, leaving behind almost everything in her life to make the relationship work.
According to debrakiin, the relationship — which began before the singer’s rise to fame — had its ups and downs but was sustained by years of loyalty and commitment. She revealed that after reconnecting in the UK, he encouraged her to continue the relationship and eventually persuaded her to return to Nigeria, promising support and a future together.
However, things reportedly changed quickly after her return. She alleged that she later discovered the entertainer had been involved with another woman, reportedly for about a year, and that the relationship ended abruptly through a voice note, with no personal conversation. To make matters worse, she said her belongings were sent back to her via a ride-hailing service.
The revelation has sparked strong reactions online, with Nigerians expressing shock, sympathy, and curiosity. While some criticized the alleged manner of the breakup, others urged caution, noting that only her side of the story has been shared publicly.
