RITE FOODS’ FEARLESS ENERGY DRINK CELEBRATES FELA’S GRAMMY LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT HONOUR


Rite Foods Limited, the proudly Nigerian and world-class food and beverage company, has congratulated Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti on his historic posthumous Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, conferred by the Recording Academy in January 2026.

The global recognition reinforces Fela’s enduring legacy as a fearless cultural icon whose music reshaped global sound and inspired generations across Africa and beyond. The honour also resonates deeply with Rite Foods’ Fearless Energy Drink, which in 2021 became the first brand to confer a posthumous award on Fela, celebrating his audacity, originality, and uncompromising voice during the Felabration festival at the Afrika Shrine in Lagos.

Presented at the Recording Academy’s Special Merit Awards ceremony in Los Angeles ahead of the 68th Grammy Awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award marks a historic milestone, with Fela becoming the first African artist to receive the prestigious honour celebrating his profound influence on music, culture, and socio-political expression worldwide.

Commenting on the recognition, Seleem Adegunwa, Managing Director of Rite Foods Limited, described the Grammy honour as a fitting validation of Fela’s fearless legacy.
