…Pastor Evelyn Joshua Reassures Worshippers That “The Best Is Yet To Come.”
By Adeola Shittu
The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday hosted its 2025 Annual Thanksgiving Service—an inspiring global gathering that blended worship, reflection, international fellowship and national intercession, while reaffirming the ministry’s enduring mission and spiritual resilience.
Held at the church’s global headquarters in Ikotun, Lagos, the event drew thousands of worshippers from within and outside Nigeria, transforming the expansive arena into a vibrant convergence of praise and gratitude. What began in December 2021 as a local thanksgiving has now grown into a major international convocation.
In his welcome address, Dr. David Ogong from Uganda—joined by his wife—expressed gratitude for the unity displayed by the multinational congregation and for God’s grace that continues to sustain the ministry.
A MULTINATIONAL PRAISE EXPERIENCE
The 2025 Thanksgiving Service featured a rich mix of musical ministrations from Nigeria and across Africa, underscoring SCOAN’s global reach.
From Nigeria, Minister Deborah Ajayi ignited the atmosphere with a vibrant praise session that had worshippers dancing “with all their might before the Lord,” reminiscent of David’s biblical worship. Gospel artists Henry Praise and the renowned Mike Abdul followed, delivering electrifying and deeply soul-stirring performances.
International ministers elevated the worship experience: Rehoboth Kisangani from Kenya, Rophiwa from South Africa, and Spanish gospel singer Miguel Angel Dual Rosillo, who led the congregation in a moving refrain, “Christ is the King, and everyone will see You.”
SCOAN’s orchestra rendered exceptional performances, including Doris Osuagwu’s “I Will Sing of the Goodness of the Lord” and Esther Oputteh’s “This Love Renewed Me” and “This Love Saves Me.” The church choir and youth choir also delivered powerful renditions that filled the atmosphere with reverence and celebration.
The congregation also enjoyed moments of laughter as vintage comedian Akpororo offered comic relief, drawing smiles across the auditorium.
A MOVING TRIBUTE TO PROPHET T. B. JOSHUA
“A trip down memory lane in the life of The TB Joshua Ministries – thank You, Jesus!” one worshipper exclaimed.
PASTOR EVELYN JOSHUA: “THE BEST IS YET TO COME”
Addressing the congregation, SCOAN’s leader Pastor Evelyn Joshua expressed profound gratitude to God for sustaining the church through seasons of transition.
“I am not giving account to man but to God, to whom belongs all the glory,” she declared.
Reflecting on the church’s journey, she noted: “The SCOAN has experienced undeniable growth both spiritually and physically.”
She concluded with prayers for the congregation: “May the grace of the Lord be with you.”
After hours of praise, worship and thanksgiving, Hon. Senator Alice Dube, a Member of Parliament from Zimbabwe, delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the dedication, unity and global fellowship evident throughout the service. Evangelist James led the closing prayer.
The colourful attire worn by various church groups added a vibrant touch to the celebration, further highlighting SCOAN’s multicultural identity.
With its multilingual worship, international participation and heartfelt spiritual expressions, the 2025 SCOAN Thanksgiving Service reaffirmed the ministry’s mission of advancing faith, compassion and national healing while honouring the enduring legacy of Prophet T. B. Joshua.
