Dr. Majeed Adewale Salami, a prominent stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Ilawo, Ejigbo in the Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State, has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty and total commitment to His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke.
In a statement made available to journalists from his country home in Ilawo-Ejigbo, Dr. Salami commended the governor for his remarkable strides across all sectors in Osun State, particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, and social development.
Dr. Salami highlighted key road projects within his local government area, including the Orita Court–Ika-Orangun Road, Gbanko–Gaa Road, and the Awo–Aato-Ejigbo Road. He also lauded ongoing work on two major roads connecting Ejigbo to Oyo State—namely, the Ejigbo–Ilawo to Ola-Oluwa Local Government Road and the Ejigbo–Isoko, Aye, and Oguro Roads.
According to him, Governor Adeleke has transformed Osun into a “massive construction site,” with visible developmental projects in all 30 local government areas and the Area Office in Modakeke. He applauded the delivery of the first-ever iconic 14-span flyover in Ile-Ife—the cradle of the Yoruba race—describing it as a landmark project that has modernized the ancient city. He also praised the construction of a similar flyover at the Oke Fia–Lameco axis in Osogbo, saying it has given the state capital a befitting urban look for the first time.
Dr. Salami further noted the construction of a dual carriageway in Ilesa—the first in over 500 years of Ijesaland's history—as well as the completion of over 250 kilometers of roads across the state, all executed without borrowing.
On healthcare, he commended the comprehensive renovation of over 200 Primary Health Centres, now equipped with modern medical facilities. He noted that this achievement attracted international recognition and a $500 million grant from foreign partners—a clear testament to the credibility and global appeal of Governor Adeleke’s administration.
“In just three years, Osun State has breathed a new breath. The achievements recorded under Governor Adeleke’s administration are bold, visible, and unprecedented,” Dr. Salami declared.
He added: “The PDP is the party to beat in Osun State. Never again shall we return to the era of stagnation witnessed under the APC-led government of Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, which left no meaningful legacy after four years in power.”
Speaking on behalf of himself, his family, and his numerous supporters across the four local governments in the Ede Federal Constituency, Dr. Salami reaffirmed their unwavering support for the PDP and Governor Adeleke.
“We pledge our total support to His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke. We stand firmly with him and the PDP till 2030,” he said.
Dr. Salami also announced the forthcoming launch of the Transformer Grassroots Mobilizer Team across the four local governments in the Ede Federal Constituency. He revealed that branded campaign materials—including T-shirts, caps, billboards, and Sienna buses—would be donated to support Governor Adeleke’s second-term re-election bid.
