The vibrant Lagos suburb of Idimu is set to come alive as Fuji music sensation, Ambassador Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, prepares to headline the 2025 edition of Idimu Day. The event, now a cultural staple in Alimosho Local Government Area, promises a grand celebration of tradition, unity, and entertainment.
Known for his electrifying stagecraft and pioneering style of Dancehall Fuji, Atawewe—popularly called “Etu O Si, Oba O Je”—will bring his signature energy and crowd-moving performance to the eagerly anticipated celebration. His appearance is expected to draw thousands of fans and culture lovers from within and outside the community.
Organisers of Idimu Day 2025 say Atawewe’s inclusion reflects the festival’s growing stature and its commitment to showcasing top-tier indigenous talent.
“Atawewe is a living legend in Fuji music, and his presence will elevate this year’s celebration to new heights,” said a member of the planning committee.
The event will also feature traditional rites, cultural parades, community awards, and other performances that highlight the rich heritage of the Idimu people.
Idimu Day 2025 takes place today, directly opposite the Onidimu’s Palace, and promises to be a spectacular cultural experience.
