In a significant commitment to community development and empowerment, the Oba Saheed Elegushi Foundation has announced a N200 million grant to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and students in the Eti-Osa area of Lagos State. This initiative coincides with the 15th anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, the Elegushi of Ikateland, whose reign has been dedicated to fostering growth and prosperity within his community.
In a statement signed by the monarch’s spokesperson, Temitope Oyefeso, the foundation revealed that the initiative aims to provide financial assistance and resources to local entrepreneurs and students, stimulating economic growth and enhancing educational opportunities. The funding will be distributed through various programs designed to support innovation, entrepreneurship, and academic excellence.
Speaking on the initiative, Oba Elegushi reaffirmed his commitment to uplifting his people: "As I celebrate 15 years on the throne, I remain dedicated to giving back to the society that has supported me. This initiative reflects my belief in the potential of our youth and the resilience of our entrepreneurs. Together, we can build a brighter future for our communities."

According to Oyefeso, a planning committee led by Dr. Muiz Banire, a prominent Lagos lawyer, is working tirelessly to ensure a memorable celebration.
