The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has commissioned new porta cabin offices strategically located at the Badagry Local Government Secretariat, Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat, Lagos Television premises, and LASAA warehouse. Kunle Dabiri; and Deputy General Manager, Operations and Innovations, LASAA, Mr. Gbolahan Dixon, during the commissioning of the agency's new offices (porta cabins) for operational expansion in Lagos, recently.

Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director/CEO of LASAA, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, described the new offices as extensions of the Agency’s branches across the state. He remarked, “The porta cabins launched are not just physical structures; they represent our ongoing commitment to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.”

Prince Akiolu highlighted the rapid growth of Lagos as a dynamic hub for innovation and creativity, which necessitates sophisticated solutions to manage operations and meet the increasing demand for outdoor advertising. He emphasized the strategic importance of the new offices in revenue optimization, stating that they support Governor Babajide Sanwoolu’s vision of a greater Lagos. He also noted, “It has become necessary for the Agency to provide these decent porta cabins for the convenience of our staff and, by extension, our esteemed walk-in clients who visit to register their business signs and make relevant inquiries.”

The Managing Director further explained that the new facilities are equipped with air conditioners, computers, tables, chairs, bathrooms, and kitchens to ensure staff comfort and efficient service delivery. He added, “These porta cabins symbolize a major step forward in our operations at LASAA. They reflect our dedication to embracing innovation and modernization to improve service delivery while ensuring that our processes are more efficient, accessible, and transparent.”

The Deputy General Manager, Operations and Innovations, Mr. Adegbolahan Dixon, also emphasized the necessity of the new offices, noting the lack of space in some local government areas for constructing permanent buildings. He said, “We approached sister agencies with available spaces within their premises to set up the porta cabin offices. This allows us to reach more clients and ensure they no longer need to travel to our head office to transact business.”

Mr. Dixon revealed that several new offices opened this year are already serving their intended purpose and that additional offices will be launched next year as part of LASAA's operational expansion.

The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA), established under the Lagos State Structures for Signage and Advertisement Agency Law of 2006 (and its amendments), is responsible for regulating and controlling outdoor advertising and signage displays across Lagos State. Through effective regulation and innovative solutions, the Agency plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual landscape of Lagos.
