TRAGEDY STRIKES: YORUBA ACTOR SAHEED BALOGUN LOSES DAUGHTER
Black Saturday as veteran Nollywood actor Saheed Balogun loses his daughter, Zeenat Balogun.
The actor shared the heartbreaking news on Saturday through his verified Instagram page, posting a poignant image of a candle surrounded by flowers, accompanied by sorrowful emojis.
Actress Ronke Oshodi Oke also confirmed the tragic news on Instagram, mourning Zeenat's passing with a candlelight image and a heartfelt message: “No words can ease the pain of losing someone so precious. My heart goes out to you @saidibalogun during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength in the love and support surrounding you.”
Fathia Balogun, a well-known actress and Zeenat’s stepmother, expressed her condolences on Instagram, posting, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un” (Arabic for “Verily, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return”).
Other actors and well-wishers, including Kunle Afod and Adeniyi Johnson, have also offered their sympathies to Saheed Balogun and his family during this difficult time.
The cause of Zeenat’s death remains unknown at this time.
