PHOTOS: LADOJA OFFICIALLY CROWNED AS AN IBADAN OBA BY THE OLUBADAN

The Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, has today been crowned as an Oba in the line to the Olubadan throne, officially inducting him into the ranks of beaded-crown-wearing monarchs in the city.

Ladoja received the crown on Monday, at a brief event held at the new Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan. The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, formally present the ceremonial beaded crown to Ladoja, while the Deputy Governor Engineer Bayo Lawal presented the staff of office. The ceremony was held  place at the Olubadan Palace in Oke Aremo, Ibadan.

The presentation of the beaded crown took place during the inaugural Olubadan-in-Council meeting since the new Olubadan assumed office on July 12. This ceremony marks a key milestone in adhering to the state’s regulations concerning the Olubadan declaration and succession.
