CELEBRATING A TRUE ICON: DR. BABATOPE AGBEYO AT 50

Every 13th of July, We celebrate a man who has made significant contributions to the business world, media industry and society as a whole, Dr. Babatope Michael Agbeyo Chairman Cornfield Transnational Limited is a renowned Nigerian businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is a true icon, whose entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to excellence have made him a force to be reckoned with.

Going by his humble beginnings as the son of a cocoa farmer and a trader, Dr. Agbeyo has risen to become an inspiration to the younger ones and his community. His journey, marked by hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to innovation has risen him to great heights through determination and his spirit of giving back to his community. Born in Usi Ekiti, Ekiti State.

His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Media Concepts International in 2005, followed by the creation of Cornfield Transnational Limited in 2006. Through these ventures, Agbeyo has provided media products, services, and solutions to a wide range of audiences, while also expanding into manufacturing, ICT, and consumer goods industries. In 2011, Botosoft Technologies was added to the Cornfield Group, focusing on Identity Management, Document Security, and Brand Protection. More recently, Cornfield Foods and Beverages was established in 2017, showcasing Agbeyo's commitment to customer satisfaction and high-quality products.

Agbeyo's educational journey began at Obafemi Awolowo University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts. After completing his National Youth Service Corps, he furthered his studies in the United Kingdom, obtaining a master's degree in Media and Communications from Birmingham City University.

Through his various ventures, Dr. Agbeyo has not only created successful businesses but has also touched the lives of many through his philanthropic work. His passion for education, technology, and community development has led to the creation of products and services that have made a positive impact on society.
