Following the emergence of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the APC flag bearer in the November governorship election, former Ondo West constituency 2 House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Jerry Adeleye Akintomide (Imole) has joined the well-meaning Ondo state indigene to congratulate the Governor on his victory.
In his words, I am highly overwhelmed with joy as I congratulate His Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for coming out victorious in last Saturday's All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in our dearly cherished state, Ondo.
Sir, your victory is an affirmation of your well-grounded political presence in all nooks and crannies of the state which our people manifested through their votes to validate your acceptance in the party as our leader and Governor beyond February 2025.
As a former Ondo West constituency 2 House of Assembly candidate in 2023 and a well-known grassroots politician, I believe in your capabilities to continue to transform our state for the better.
However, my appeal goes to other contestants to accept the democratic verdicts of last weekend's primary election with the spirit of sportsmanship for the overall interest of our party.
