The Ondo State Government has announced the dissolution of Caretaker Committees For Local Government and Local Council Development Areas.
The dissolution was announced on Wednesday in a letter dated January 2, 2024, and signed by permanent secretary Adewale Alonge.
It will be recalled that Gov. Aiyedatiwa had frozen the Ondo LG accounts a few days after he was named acting Governor. The letter reads: “Distinguished HOLGAs, Your Excellency the acting governor of Ondo state had directed that all spending/expenditure from local government account should be suspended, no signing of cheques, no change of signatories, no withdrawal of any sort until further directive.
